Have been looking into laptops and have decided to go for one with an i3-380M chip and clock speed of 2.53GHz.
An offer on a huk for a Acer Aspire with a i3-2310M and clock speed of 2.1ghz (sandybridge)
Would the speed be really noticeable?
Which would be the best one to go for?

Not all clock cycles are equal.
The 2310m is a newer cpu and more powerful, probably using less power as well.
