Double glazing cosmetic strip: sourcing

I'm having the windowboards replaced in my house as the old ones are a mess, as is the area around them. As part of replacing them, the carpenter has removed a flat plastic strip from each double glazed window. This strip runs horizontally along the bottom of the window, the bottom edge in contact with the windowboard, and the flat surface pressed onto the base of the window. The cross section is like an F shape. Anyway the carpenter caused some damage on removing them, a few nicks and abrasions, and I want to make good. It's not a big deal, but it will annoy me, and for the sake of a few pounds why not. Is this strip standard stuff? If so where can I buy it? It looks like I might be able to buy a long strip and cut to size.
