I buy around 3 or 4 in November/December and one always makes it for the Yule the year after I bought it. Then the cylce starts again. I think they taste better that way. I've eaten 'christmas pudding' the year I bought it and it didn't have the right taste in my opinion.
I buy my christmas puddings in January so they are often half price or less, then keep them until the following christmas.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
I've some smoked salmon, the remains of the cooked goose, and the goose fat (set in a flat-bottomed container, then sliced, wrapped in cling-film and kept in the freezer, taken out piece by piece to make savoury pastry..) Plus a haggis from last November.....!0

I've got a box of 6 mince pies that my mum brought down to us one time... not sure when we'll eat those but we'll have to do so before moving house in Sept!0

We at a turkey that wasn`t far off three years old recently
It wasn`t even ours to start with but belonged to someone i work with and she mentioned throwing it out as they had kept it in the freezer for so long, i told her not to and if she really didn`t want it to bring it into work and i would take it, i kept it a further 6 months or so before we used it lol.
This has happened once before but the previous one was less that two years old. Still nice and tasty though
I also have some lamb shanks that are coming up to two years old and some pork steaks too.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
