Buy decent fair price RAM?

I've done a search on the forum but come up with nothing.
After a lot of hassle and help on here the RAM I bought through Amazon proved to be the problem. Cannot unfortunately remember where I bought before which worked just fine.
Can anyone point me at a supplier of decent quality at a reasonable price? I looked at Crucial but it was pretty pricey for 2G. As I'm probably going to have problems and take ages to get any refund if at all on the other rubbish, cost is an issue.
Thanks for any help.

Stick to brand names, HP, crucial, kingston. Think those 3 all come with lifetime guarantees too (best to check anyway)

Always buy from Crucial, never had a failure.

Crucial. Lifetime guarantee and no quibble compatibility guarantee if you use their memory selector tool. Once you account for the postage by Scan/Aria etc, compared to the free postage from Crucial, Crucial is not expensive.

Crucial is excellent but expensive so I switched to Orca Logic for my more recent purchases and have never experienced any problems.

Orca has a memory scanner like Crucial plus a very friendly customer help-line based at its office in England.

    Thanks all.
Type is SDRAM DDR PC3200. 184 pin. 400. Need 2 x 1G. I did the crucial scan and that fits with what I already have in my user requirements.
    System - H.p. Pavilion a 1210.uk. desktop.

I'll ponder on going for Crucial ( or look at ORCA) I guess but as I may have trouble getting refund from the other lot - ouch!
