Train & 2for1 London: Cheap Ticket?
Options
The 2for1 offer is run by FGW? Or NatRail?
In any case, does anyone know (have experience of buying) the cheapest tickets option I can buy in order to make use of the offer? Let's assume I want to keep to the letter (perhaps not the spirit) of the rules i.e. flashing old/invalid railcards is not an option.
It's a bit cheeky I know, but I do use the train to get to work almost every day (so they do get my cash), and whilst we are planning to drive to London, we are only going as far as Ealing and then using public transport from there. However, underground tickets are not acceptable (I checked).
Thanks

London Travelcards issued by a National Rail ticket office are eligible for the offers.0

An Anytime Single Waterloo East to Charing Cross is only £2.20... as is one from Vauxhall to Waterloo.
Remember to buy from a 'real' train station, any 'real' station, maybe before you leave home even, and not a tube station.0 -
If you want to buy a travelcard online then on the East Coast website search Ealing Broadway to London Paddington this will give you the £7.30 One Day Off Peak Travelcard (valid zones 1-4) as it's a travelcard you start at any of the Ealing underground stations, you can also add any railcards, if you have any, to the ticket or get the ticket sent out to you ready for you to use at Ealing.
Or if you get a car direct into London then get a Vauxhall to London Waterloo Anytime Single @£2.20 is a bargain and can be used for 2for1 deals.Whoa! This image violates our terms of use and has been removed from view0 -
