Sky+ scam

I was sent a card through the post a couple of weeks ago offering sky+ at half price, tried the number on the card and it says the offer is no longer available. Yet it states clearly in the small print that it ends on the 31st dec.
I rang Sky and the staff said i was the 4th person to call that day (regarding the sky+ offer), they were peed off that Sky had never run this offer yet sent out all these cards, they never do special offers in December for existing customers.
Is there anyone else here that was sent one of these cards too? I know im not the only one out there!
