Call them to arrange the interview if you really want to go the festival.

    Great - so

    a) you've lied about why you resigned to get JSA
    b) when you're offered the potential of a job you decide a festival is more important

You're either a troll or seriously misguided

How exactly did I lie? I told JSA that I resigned to go travelling for 3 months but the plans fell through, they know that I travelled for 3 weeks which is exactly what happened.

And I'm attempting to change my travel plans and get further confirmation from the company as we speak; but as I doubt I'll get the job, due to me going to uni - I'm assuming that they will ask when my course starts which is in 2 and a half months and the fact that I don't agree with the ethics of the company, I wanted opinions from other people.

Am I missing something...why did you buy tickets for a festival in this country if you were expecting to be in Asia?

Depends when the festival is, looking at the dates their return time could be next month (3 weeks in Asia followed by a month and a bit on JSA).. although i didn't think they arranged interviews that far in advance.

Because about 2 weeks after I bought the tickets, I decided to change my plans and travel as previously planned. I went through a period of indecisiveness. By then I couldn't get a refund on the tickets and the experiences from travelling outweighed the cost.

Arsing about, to me in any case, having to fill out extra forms explaining my choices, which took a lot of hassle, not lying. JSA know exactly what happened

In any case, I just wanted clarification and I'm doing what I planned originally which is having to look rather odd with all my stuff, explain to them that I have a previous engagement so have to leave at 5pm if I get to the interview stage and hope that my timing is perfect.

Take your ethics and go to the festival. Let someone who really wants a job go to the interview.

I wouldn't touch a job in a pay day advance company with a bargepole, what a horrible way to spend your time before uni, i imagine you would just be dealing with people that have had their bank accounts cleared and relatives accounts cleared, go to your festival and forget all about the interview.

(this is not the sort of thing i would usually think in a situation like this, however it's the job you mentioned after reading all the problems in the loans section of the forum that makes me feel its not the sort of thing to waste your time with for a few months)
