new oven-catalytic liners&couple other q's

We just got a new oven, very swanky :)
Its a double, freestanding oven, with catalytic liners on the sides, back and top of both ovens, and enamel bottoms.

Am I right in thinking that I need to give it a burst at top temp every so often to clean the liners? And to use nothing on them? (can I wipe them down with water after heating them?)

Is it alright to use oven mate on the bottom and door?

Also-its a multifunction oven, made by Zanussi, the bottom oven has the choice of conventional (top&bottom element), thermaflow (fan) fan cooking (top and bottom element&fan) bottom only, and thermal grilling (grill element and fan)

Apparantly this means I can't use an oven liner on the bottom, fine, I'll just have to clean it :( but does anyone have an idea what the difference is between thermaflow and fan cooking? Does the thermaflow heat the oven a different way?

Thanks :)
