I've had a few not turn up as a buyer. One thing I ordered and really wanted, it was something very cheap but very unique. Anyway, I told the seller it hadn't arrived and they refunded me. Months later I looked by chance in the communal store room of the block of flats I lived in which was next to our flat. There on the floor in the corner was a dirty package covered in cobwebs addressed to me. I can only assume the postman put it there as it was too big to post through the letterbox and he couldn't be bothered to leave a card.
I must say though that generally I find Royal Mail very reliable and good value and most of the posties around here (in London!) are very friendly and do an excellent job in all weathers.0 -

Interesting Westin, I've never had anything returned to me either. Maybe we're just unlucky?!

I run at about 1 loss in 1000, sometimes better. I didi have two lost items at Christmas but one of those was returned to me (I think the first time ever!) in Mid Jan.
My worst record of non delivered items are to my mothers address, it is almost impossible to guarantee items reaching her.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. What would worry me is the risk of having a death in the family if you are an eBay seller. Speaking as a buyer, the number of sellers I have dealt with who have lost loved ones, particularly children it seems, whilst engaged in the act of eBay selling is extremely disturbing. I must have come across a far higher percentage than the parcel loss rates quoted here - a good 3 deaths per 40 purchases or so. Sometimes I even get both parcel loss and tragic death in the same transaction.0

Currently going at 16 lost out of 140. I won't give up though!0

you win so far! One of my biggest irritations so far, was the last person who told me item didn't turn up (so I of course refunded in full, after politey asking her to double check at her sorting office) has "I don't take responsibility for items lost in post, will give buyer COP to claim" etc plastered all over her listings.

i think there are a few scammers out there, either that or its just coincidnce my partner has sold over 500 individual vinyl records on discogs, he has never had one go missing, he then decides to sell a few on ebay over the last few months and there have been a fair few gone missing, strange0
