You are all so great!! Since I discovered this thread I have become a great fun of MOC! I have to apologise for not thanking everyone but I just realised what you ment by "thank someone"...I was usually reading the thread without logging in...!
I wish I find a coupon to share with you for all the great coupons you have shared with me... But for now I wanted to share with you my story and I thank you in advance, if someone more experienced could help me and explain me how things really work.
Last week in S they didn't accept my two coupons for Ariel (I had bought two products so that wasn't the problem) and they told me that I could make another purchase for the second Ariel, since the till showed the message that only one coupon can be used in one transaction for this product. Ok this problem was solved.
Today I went to S again to buy only things with coupons. Just to be sure there wouldn't be a similar problem with the almonds I did like this:
McCain hash browns 1.40 (-50p with MOC)
Almonds 1.99 (with the coupon free)
Total 0.90
(no problem with this)
Then, just after the previous purchase...
Yazoo 1.20 (-20 with MOC)
Almonds 1.99 (with the coupon free)
This water 1.10 (with the coupon free)
Total 1.00
BUT the cashier told me that the machine would accept only the first coupon and not the other two... although seconds before it had accepted the Almonds one without problem... It was a bit messy because she did not want to call her manager neither to solve the problem nor to take back the almonds and this water... She told me to pay in full 4.09 and then go to the manager to get back the money showing the coupons...
ok I did it... And the manager told me that S doesn't accept printed coupons...!!! I told him that I have used them before without a problem and he was surprised! He told me that in my case he could make a gesture of good will and accept them... When I told him that anyway they get the money back, so there is no loss for them, he told me that they get the money only if the coupon is specifically for Sainsbury's and probably they wouldn't get back the money for the coupons I had! I tried to explain him that you can get these coupons only online and it is not like you can print hundreds of them... He made a comment about people using coupons for every item they get... and I was thinking what is wrong with that?!?
I am sorry for my long post but since I am new to this I wanted to share my experience with people that would understand me! And could someone tell me if their policy is really like this? That they don't accept officially printed coupons? Thank you!0 -
Morning everyone!
http://www.pizzaexpress-offers.co.uk/
I have found this, it's buy 1 main course, get a pizza for 40p. You enter your details and they send you a code. Expires 14/8.
I haven't tried it as we have a taste card at the mo, just had 2 4 1 on Sunday, but this also looks not bad.If you feel my post has been useful, " merci" would not go amiss.

firstly welcome to posting on the thread
unfortunately there is no straight forward answer to your question . although all stores should take all your coupons(yes they do get money back if redeeemed correctly)
many individual stores/managers makeup/follow there own rules and can every vary from day to day/ shop to shop as you've found.
not has to contact S's HO myself before but if you unhappy(which all of us would be) try contacting them and asking them to clarify the coupon policy explaining what happened. You are all so great!! Morning all
Thanks to Thatguy1 on the Quick Grabbit Board, it says there is a £5 voucher off a £40 spend in The Daily Mail this Friday and the paper costs 55p.
If anyone was thinking of doing a large shop today, it may be worth waiting until tomorrow.
Please thank Thatguy1 on the Quick Grabbit Board.0 -
