oh dear Liz people can be so nasty you could have done without that on top of your other problems (including cat being poisoned). It's just as well you didn't win NY as you would have had sour memories on top of what should be great memories; they'll be another NY comp and hopefully you'll win that one and have a great time

The cheating element is just such an uneducated comment. As long as you play by the T&C's of the comp (which companies are so hot on) then how can you possibly cheat to win???

Plus you contribute so much to the site and i bet you those people who made negative comments about you have entered comps that you post and posted very little themselves! :mad:

Our hobby is just the best and i love every minute of doing it. I have negative comments even from some friends who either seem to think i owe THEM something from doing it or who think i am so 'jammy' or somehow have a secret way of winning.

The truth is - as all long term compers know, that there a no quick fixes or special tricks. There are a few tips and i have even seen you sharing these with other compers (concentrate on dailies/weeklies tip etc) All it takes is time, effort, research, some kindness to others and a bit of the ol' lucky dust.

Liz you have all of these things and i wish you all the best in your wins and hope the haters do not deter you from a hobby you take so much pleasure in.

Sorry you didn't win Liz but perhaps it was for the best - there would probably have been another round of nasty comments and that would have soured the trip for you - it's sad there are so many small minded and petty people out there - some of them probably don't even enter competitions but are jealous when some one they know or think they know wins
So chin up and upwards and onwards there are plenty more prizes to win and I'm sure there will be another holiday at some point for or some other goodies to make up for not winning this one

Well done Liz! I think you did really well and good on you for keeping your dignity after all those really nasty remarks. I recognised some MSErs when I read it - how very foolish.

Liz, take no notice of any nasty comments, these people are just jealous. As Flickering Ember says karma is a wonderful thing. These people will find out it's powers, don't you worry.

I know there are many many people on here who really appreciate your hard work in posting comps, don't let a few _____ (insert your favourite naughty word) get to you.

Commiserations for not winning Liz, I thought your entry was fab, but then that's what sometimes happens with comping- you never know what entry will win but of course, that's the fun of it - I'm sure you'll win another comp soon.

Liz, how anyone (esp fellow MSE'rs) could accuse you of cheating is beyond me! Just remember that these bitter, spiteful and spineless cretins are only a small minority. The majority of us (including myself of course!) really appreciate all the hard work that you put into the comping forums. You are a true asset and inspiration. Keep on comping with your head held high!

Shame about the NY comp. But I'm sure a big holiday prize is just around the corner.

I love reading about other people's wins, makes me think that if they can be lucky then so can I and it spurs me on to enter more!

The people who accused you of cheating are obviously jealous of your successes. (I have to confess to getting a little spot of the green-eyed monster myself when I saw you'd won that fantastic trip to Kenya though ). You clearly put a lot of effort into the comps and truly deserve all your wins.

Kepp comping and don't let the b******s grind you down!!!

well done for getting so far i have read al the previous mentions of this comp and tbh stayed right out of it , some people think other people deserve nowt thats just the way it goes jealousy and greed are a potent mix , your a very very lucky lady and seem like a lovely person too so dont let the minority pi$$ on yer chips xx
