    Morning All

It's pouring down! Still I don't have much washing so will leave it for today.

Happy Birthday to JackieO's Holly :bdaycake:

Had a bit of a disaster day yesterday, had to have a new tyre put on then my crown broke and fell out! To top it all when I was pressing the buzzer for work I wound down the car window and it didn't go up again! Had to cover it with black bin bags but a kind young lad managed to pull it up again so it should stay for now as long as I don't touch it. I was worried he would get his fingers trapped as he kept asking me to press the button when his hands were in it. Anyhow I have booked it into the garage for Friday - must remember not to open the window, it's my preferred way of controlling the temperature!

Have made about 100 twinks to take to DS2s today, he and his flatmates can devour them in seconds. DD and I going to meet him for a late lunch and then I shall take him shopping. He hasn't much money being a student so at least I can make sure he is eating properly. May also treat him to some new t shirts.

Off to the shower in a mo, Lou - good to see you posting and RR - hope things improve with your mum, she will probably be much better now your dad is out of hospital, hope he regains his strength soon.

    Take care all. XX

I have a red hall carpet and a purple one in my bedroom, the bit at the door where the two meet and contrast is my favourite view in the house. :rotfl: I've just realised how odd I sound :o

Great minds - I have a purple hall and stair carpet x

Good luck with the oncologist xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    :eek:Afternoon all,

I have been sent home from work, as got totally useless toward the end of the day, I'm exhausted and i think panicking that i'm getting flu again is making me worse as i never want to be that ill again and can't handle another bout 6 months on! Booked friday off on monday as was feeling exhausted and knew i'd need time off.

OH's dad is in hospital atm he developed a lung disease a few years ago, he'll never recover fully from, he's gone in for some treatment before he goes on holiday.

as you know BIL in on bail at the moment, and the police do spot checks to see if they're living at the address they say they are at. Last night 3 cop cars turned up a MIL's house as they thought he was lying about his bail adress because they can't find our house - we acually live opposite a police station :rotfl: all sorted now i think though!

ohhh another bad thing that happened, i saw first hand what domestic violence can do on the weekend. keeping a 6 year old busy while the police take away his mum's boyfriend and take her to hospital is not something i ever want to repeat. went to a friend of a friend's house to watch the boxing, we went home after it finished and got the call to go back. You would not recognize this girl, and her son saying 'mummys blood is all over the kitchen' is haunting my ears right now.

But, she is pressing charges and with any luck the fool will pay for what he did.

air hugs to all who want them (you don't want my germs ;) )

    Late post from me today!
JackieO - hope your DGD is having a great birhday!
Had to make 40 sandwiches this morning for our lunchtime concert at church. Took ages, and did loads of different combinations. They were snapped up really quickly - wish I'd made at least half a dozen more. Concert was brilliant too!
Dragged myself to the gym this afternoon - wish I could say I feel better for it, but wish I'd just curled up on the couch instead!
DS arrived yesterday to stay until Sunday, I expect. He did get up and help me with the sandwiches, but has retired to bed once more. Loads of pain again.
Hope you've all had a good day. Take care.
