I just touched the list of text messages and red delete rectangle came up and touched it in error which has deleted the whole conversation (as far as I can tell) with that person. Is there a way I can I can undo that or find the deleted messages - I really need them.

Please help!

I have no idea - I don't understand a word of it! I did do a google search but was none the wiser which is why I posted on here. I need laymans terms guidance. I am worried to even type another text incase I reduce chances of getting that conversation back. Will my last I phone back up (done a couple of months ago) have saved texts? Ideally I really need to recover right up to current but that would be better than nothing. I am not techie and my hubby even does the I phone up dates etc for me but he is at work and has told me he doesn't know if/how I can get them back.

Soooo annoyed, one flick (in two directions) on one tiny part of screen and I have cleared almost a year of critical info.

The backup that iTunes does when you connect your iPhone is a full backup and includes text messages. However, given it was so long ago since you did a backup, you will lose all text messages sent/received in the last 2 months. Might I suggest that you backup your phone a lot more frequently in the future? I do mine once a day but I would have thought once a week would be the bare minimum (maybe that's just me? But my phone content is very important to me!).

To actually do it, connect the phone to the computer. Open iTunes if it hasn't opened automatically. Select the iPhone in the left hand column. Click the "restore" button and when asked select the 2 month old backup. Sit back and wait.

Thank you. Like so many things when running a business and having two young children it just comes down to time. I don't surpose anyway of getting back the recent ones from the phone? Is there a deleted items type folder (like with emails) somewhere on phone?

Ask the other party to resend, assuming that they havwe the same record?

Asking other person to resend is not an option. Answers to Q about restoring/retrieving both the back up if they will have been saved when I phone backed up a couple of months ago and/or getting them back from deleted status using my phone would be really appreciated. I am rather stressed about this and - you should back up more often or ask person to re-send them all are not helping that however well intended!

If I restore up to back up as per earlier suggestion can I di anything to preserve the last 2 months of other text conversations so I dont lose them when turning back to 2 months ago by using back up?
