Tesco - Cd/Dvd policy

Was wondering if anyone had any luck returning a cd back to tesco? As i have been refused an exchanged (bought a xmas prezzie and someone already bought it) as it was not sealed. Now it did not come sealed and have of the cds they stock dont have them sealed.

So i had to go and buy another cd then and again this was not sealed, so i asked for a sealed copy. 'Sorry we dont do sealed cds'

Any luck pushing this with head office.

I'm pretty sure i read a problem like this a few weeks back but cannot find the thread now.

Yes, this has been asked before, and there seems to be varying success with different stores. I know my local store will not refund a CD or exchange it for a different one, they will only replace it with the same one if it is faulty.

No harm in speaking to customer services at head office. Legally you are not entitled to a refund, but people do seem to have quite a lot of success with escalating issues like this.

good luck with tescos...we got a dvd once from there that sealed up, got it home and found the case to empty, they refused to do anything about it at all
