    I thought the 100ml limit was only for stuff taken through check-in. Once you are in departures you can buy bottles and take them on board, no matter the size. The only exception to this is if you are travelling to the USA.

    Edit. This from East Midlands Airport website :-

    Passengers will be able to buy liquids including drinks and perfumes either in an EU airport shop after security control, or on board an aircraft operated by an EU airlines. If they are sold in a special sealed bag, passengers must not open them before they are screened otherwise the contents may be confiscated at the checkpoint.
    What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

    you can buy bottles from the duty free shops, yes...after you have gone through the safety check in. The bottles must remain unopened though till destination.

    yes you can but on an internal uk flight you will not save any money! get yourself there safely and buy from the nearest supermarket or cheap off licence!
