Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. I have no need for a new one but, in your position, I'd use "new corded phone" as a search string on ebay. That will produce numerous hits and scrolling down will undoubtedly show something suitable.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

have tried this but just wondering if any could be recommended by people on here. I've bought two phones in the last two years and they were very poor! Yet a mate bought a four quid corded one from Asda and it's perfect.0

Fine so far. Got a similar one about 3 years ago for another extension and that's working fine still.
Anyway Tesco usually refund no question if there's any problem, they're not going to waste time arguing about a fiver.0
