can not reply to emails in windows live hotmail 2011

hi
in the last few days i have been unable to reply to emails in my hotmail account.it just comes up internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close.i noticed the other day when i went to login to my hotmail account that it had changed appearance so i presume it had automatically updated.i have restored back to before any live essential 2011 updates had been installed but am still having the same probs. any suggestions guys

What version of IE are you using? A good start would be to delete your temporary internet files.
As a temp workaround, you should be able to logon to your mail account online at live.com0 -

internet explorer 8.i did install 9 but it went worse.im not quite sure what you mean in second part of reply.i can log on to hotmail account and read them.only having problems when i come to reply to one or compose a new one :-)0
