Stitched up!

On 20th May I was parked in our small company car park when the contractors working on the road outside told me I should move my car to the road as they were about to dig a trench outside the gate and I wouldn't be able to get out at all. One of them told me exactly where to park, and assured me that the parking restrictions had been lifted because of the works going on. My colleagues and I had been told this previously, too, but it didn't affect us because we had our car park. I thought no more of this until this week I received a penalty notice dated 27th June. I've NEVER found a penalty ticket on my windscreen, although the Council's photo shows one there. Another photo, taken 9 seconds later, shows the contractor lurking round the side of my car. I reckon he removed the parking ticket so he wasn't around when I found it! I'm livid. All the evidence is in the favour of the Council, the contractors have disappeared and I'm left with a £60 fine!! I've sent in a representation but don't hold out much hope. Repeat - I'm livid!

They can help most people get off most Council tickets, they are the experts.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I've taken the liberty of removing PCNs from unfamiliar person's windows but this has all been with private activity. With the council, it is an unequivocal offence to interfere with proceedings. If you have access to the same evidence you have explained to the community here, I would push this matter to the authorities; you may be offered the original deal but someone else who clearly meant you no good faith will also get justice.
