Transfer Corfu airport to Liapades (near Paleokastritsa)

Hi all
We're going on holiday at the end of July to the Elly Beach Hotel in Liapades, Corfu and haven't got transfers booked. We could book them with the tour operator for about £100, but I hope it would be less expensive to just turn up and get a taxi. The info we've got is that it's 17km from the airport.
There's just the two of us, and we're only going for a week so won't have lots of luggage.
Any ideas gratefully received!

Can't help with a taxi number but we go to corfu a lot (around Gouvia which is only 20 min from airport) To give you an example The airport taxi is 25 euro but Gouvia's local taxis are 20 euro, so see if you can get a local taxi number from your hotel and prebook it, should be much cheaper. And it is beautiful around there.
To be honest we get a taxi to Gouvia and then hire a car from a guy called Anthony which is much cheaper than getting taxis.Just come back and we hired a car for 6 days for 180 euros (plus the 40 euros to and from airport)

For info for anyone else, we booked a transfer to Liapades with Corfu Airport Transfers, who were fine.

Right now, there's a taxi strike on so I'm really glad that we did book a transfer, as we were actually transferred in a small bus both ways. If we'd waited to just get a taxi we'd have been stuck and would have needed to get the public buses, which would have been possible, but not so great if we'd landed late at night.

My family used Corfu Airport Transfer (corfuairporttransfer dot com) 5 years of Corfu summer holidays. I will be more than happy to recommend these guys to all. They also have a Car Hire agency and they are very professional with reasonable prices.:T
