Skype???

Hi, I am off on holiday soon and need to be able to stay in contact with my son and partner.

I have a smartphone with skype and he has a nokia c3 which doesnt support skype. We are looking into him buying another phone just to use for skype. What we need to know really is:

If both phones have skype do you still need wifi?

What amount of data would it use - he doesnt have internet access on his phone so would need to add that - but how much would he need for skype?

Thanks for any help - i may not have made things clear and am sorry but am a total novice with skype. Thanks again.

  • You can call from Skype to a regular landline or mobile - You do have to have to add credit to a Skype account before you make any calls though. To a landline this is about 1 or 2p a minute.

But, yes you should use a free wifi access to make the skype calls. It would probable be cheaper to make a regular mobile call that use skype over a mobile signal.

Or you can go to an internet cafe.
