Our shaver socket gets slightly warm and buzzes when I plug in the electric toothbrush.

No it should be fine and should be protected by a fuse. The buzzing is likely to be the isolation transformer. I have used a Braun toothbrush in our shaver socket for years.:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
