Terms and Conditions

1. Open to all UK, CI, IoM and RoI residents except employees and their immediate families of VisitScotland, The Independent, their agents or anyone professionally connected with the promotion.

All entries received will be entered into the prize draw to win the following prize: 1 x three-night stay at the 4-star Hotel du Vin, Edinburgh, for two adults or a family (two adults and two children up to the age of 14). A family room includes a studio or suite with a fold down sofa bed to accommodate two children. Breakfast is included on each morning and dinner will be provided on one evening for up to four people. Evening meal does not include alcoholic beverages. Prize also includes 1 x Family Edinburgh Pass (two adult and two children between the ages of 5 and 15 years old) or two x adult passes and entry to the Real Mary Kings Close for two x adults and two x children.
8. Prize also includes £200 spending money and £150 maximum travel allowance. Travel allowance will be paid once the prizewinner provides full receipts. Amount payable will be at the Promoter’s discretion and will be to a maximum of £150 in total.
9. The prize does not include any travel insurance and must be taken in full by 31.03.12
10. All elements of prize package are non-transferrable, are subject to date availability, subject to change, are weather dependant and are subject to all prizefund provider standard operator terms and conditions. Date exclusions apply.
11. The prize is as stated, is non-transferrable and no cash or other alternative prize is available, except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control, the promoter reserves the right to provide a similar prize of equal or greater value.
12. One winner will be drawn at random under independent supervision from all entries received on 14.08.11 and notified in writing within 28 days of the closing date. The promoter's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
13. Prize must be claimed within 28 days of notification. Failure to do so will result in forfeit of the prize and another winner will be drawn.
14. Prizewinner will not be required to participate in publicity.
15. No responsibility can be taken for any entries that are lost or delayed or which are unable to be sent due to Internet connection issues or systems failure or anything else that prevents entries being received. Proof of online entry does not constitute proof of delivery.
