I didn't miss a thing in your post.

If you think sixteen minutes is a long wait then you clearly do not deal with call centres too often! Also, you made no effort to find another way to contact them.

I'm sorry that M&S did not send round an employee with the flowers to make sure that they were absolutely perfect, in order to save you sixteen minutes (yes, a whole sixteen minutes!) on the phone.

Oh for goodness sake - grow up!

  • Unfortunately I agree, 16 minutes at this time of year is not givig them sufficient chance to answer the phone in a call centre. I wish companies could answer their telephones more quickly but the reality is that they don't, and 9am on the 23rd (a Saturday, so fewer staff than a weekday) is going to be an incredibly busy time. 9am is probably the busiest time of the whole day.

The couriers employed by M & S have not done their job properly, but M & S can't sort it out unless they know about it. Sixteen minutes waiting on the phone is simply not long enough at this time of year.

Have you tried emailing M & S at customer.care@marks-and-spencer.com ? there won't be anyone there today, but I expect there will be tomorrow.

To be fair, as I didn't find out about Mum's flowers until Christmas Day, it was after Christmas when I phoned.

They were obviously not so busy then, and did rectify it for me.

I can only suggest that the OP try to phone them this week - I'm sure they'll put matters right.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)
