Hi guys. can anyone tell me how to use Skype. I was told it was free to use but when I registered it said " buy credit ", so now I'm confused. Thankyou

Only buy credit if you want to call someones land line or mobile or send SMS's0 -
Hi there,
It is free to use from your computer to someone else's computer - once you log in, and add someone's Skype username to your address book, you can click their name within Skype and 'call' them on their computer for free.
It relies on them having the computer on at the time, and you and them having speakers/microphone ready so they can hear/talk to you.
If however you want to use your computer to call people on their landline phone, you need to buy credit with Skype.
I do that but only for international calls, because most of the time my mobile phone contract offers minutes to mobiles and landlines.
