Hard drive question. Please Help

After the hinges broke on my packard bell vesuvio I bought another (exactly same model) one on ebay which has had its hard drive removed for security reasons. Can I take out my hard drive and place it into the one I have just bought without loosing any of the info Ive stored on my laptop?

simple answer is YES, you wont loose any info from the harddrive. also note: if the memory on the laptop you bought from ebay is only using 1 socket, you should be able to either put 1 from your broken laptop into it, or both depending on the memory size. for instance if you had 2 x 1gb and the ebay one had 1 x 512 swap them over aswell.
or remove before you scrap the broken one
