Don`t you dare patronise me . It certainly was not a cheap racist jibe . Being partly Jewish , I find your remark very insulting .Maybe you are a someone who denies the holocaust . Visiting the Ravensbruck monument in Amsterdam was a very moving experience .

There are facts that cannot be denied . So silly little references to bed bugs is really quite a dumb thing to say.

That camp provided slave labour to said company so it might , just be , something to bear in mind .

I totally agree with you,it should be something to remember .
I've family from Germany and we have an old friend who was forced to work in Auschwitz as a clerk.
He has never forgotton which companies knowingly provided the gas ovens, bone grinders etc.
    Neither should we.

My grandfather died in Bergen-Belsen, we told him not to go up that watchtower when he was drunk.

Who will give these british workers jobs, as IDS wants? Half this workforce will disappear after the consultation ends...

Rolls Royce, just down the road from Bombardier, are winning lots of orders. Maybe they'll be interested.

Just as important it's the small manufacturers who supply Bombardier (my own company included) who will suffer too.

Just what has a company director, now long dead, got to do with his successor's success in winning a train building contract?

I've moved my account from Barclay's bank, because of poor service, their roots in financing the slave trade had almost nothing to do with it.

The Spanish "murdered" millions of native South Americans by using them as slave labour in the mines (silver etc.) and giving them nasty European diseases and then using the "Triangular Trade" to import replacements- I do hope you don't encourage them any more by going on holiday to Spain?

I don't think any of my now dead pre war relatives were involved in such inhuman exploitation, but I would not expect to have a load of guilt piled on me any more than I would, if I discovered that my father had been a bomber pilot on the Dresden raid.

Just for the record I have been to both Birkenau (and the much smaller "hotel" up the road) and Dresden.
I've also been to Ireland, there callous bureaucratic incompetence killed a few million and China where an ideology akin to a religion killed about 45 million but I've yet to make it to the Ukraine, where a near psychotic "Uncle Joe" starved to death some more millions. While we are at it, don't forget year zero in Cambodia, Yugoslavia and continuing genocide in Africa, to get things up to date..

Personally I would like to look to the future and hope that we have learned something from history so we can make a better world for all humanity.
