reckon it is up to the mum who she wants at the birth - regardless of whether she is married to the father etc. Some women simply want another woman there - they need support and encouragement and that can only come from someone they feel really calm with. For various reasons I was alone with the midwives when second child was born - that was fine they were very supportive and made no difference to the total devotion that exists between father and daughter.0 -

Has he questioned her reasons for this behaviour? it may just be hormones but it there a possibility he may not be the dad? I can't understand why she would distance herself from him at a time when she would need support - sorry if that sounds innappropriate.
You can apply through a solicitor for parental responsibility so even if he isn't there to sign the birth certificate he should be able to sort this out, I can't see why she wouldn't allow him to do it.DMP 2021-2024: £30,668 £0 🥳
