Hi to you all and thanks for taking the time to read this.
Just wanted to ask if anyone can understand why Capital One have removed a Default account from the Credit Ref agencies. Not that l am complaing as that can only be good news for me.
I had been with then for 8 years and had two missed payments in that time.
In 2005 l was signed off from work due to ill health but even then l kept them informed and payed what l could.
At the end of 2005 l was served with a default as they had passed my account onto a Debt Ref agency and they would not accept my reduced payments they said they were not enough. Around April 2006 l got a call from Debt agency saying if l paid half of the outstanding balance they would wipe my debt off. But l did not have the money to do that. Even though it would have been a peace of mind that another debt was settled.
I get updated credit reports from Credit Ref agency to keep up todate with debts due and it had a notice telling me that Capital One had removed the file they had on me...........Strange but true
Any ideas would be appreciated :T
