great deal currently on virgin 300 txt 300 mins for £10.50 pm on a 30 day rolling contract but always going over and pay £12 not sure if they've increased the monthly charge.

also how much is 500mb interms of usuage - surfing whilst out and about emergency googling

I don't know if it's still available to new customers but I'm on 3 and I get 200txts, 50mb, free skype, free MSM, Free 3-3 calls and sites like facebook and ebay don't use up any of your data. All for £3.33/month. It's really £10 topup gets you 3 times the above but it all lasts for 90 days so that's the equivalent. Great if you're not a heavy user, your £10 credit pays for your phone calls but you can buy add-ons such as "unlimited data" for £5/month

500mb is loads. I often just surf to pass the time, check MSE while I'm out, and stay within 50mb a month!

This was a managers special in tesco in osterley last night so i'm guessing it's available in stores too. Tesco do this from time to time, i managed to get the same on a 1 month contract not so long back which i never plan on cancelling at that price.

Me too, changed from O2 in May after an alert from Jeanie (MadAboutBargains). It's an excellent deal.

It is, especially as it's pretty much using the o2 network anyway so i get the same coverage. What's better is when I told o2 i was leaving to get this they just said "we can't beat that, here's your puc", no arguing or going throug hcustoemr retentions at all:j
