Mobile Phone Business

I've been thinking. Recently I got to know some guys who run successful mobile phone shops with the cash back deals like e2save, etc. they have a chain of shops and have made alot of money. Im currently a student with over a year of studies left.
I was thinking of one of two things, one I could try a partnership with them as I don’t really have much capital but this would be done in a years time. Meanwhile I save up for capital via a part time job.
Second option I thought I could do a website and get supply from them.
Has anyone got any clue about start up costs of a mobile phone shop, etc.

thing to be aware of....
the major retailers are looking to bring more sales "in house" and will be expanding these sales throgh more of their own shops (like O2's recent takeover of the Link , 3 bought some of those stores as well ) as it saves them a fortune in commisions and improves their marginsEx forum ambassador

i really think its to late for this,. if ur mates started there shops 4 years ago then thats the reason there making cash now days getting Approved Direct Dealership is a thing of the passed as orange and voda etc etc are coming on the streets with there own stores (as browntoa said),. plus the vat man and the tax man are getting tighter on the cashback dealers,.
u wont be getting top commisson plus if ur doing cashback u need to hit mass numbers of contracts,. and going thru a web portal ur going to need trust ppl wont buy of a unknown site,.
mind you if u hit 300 contact sales a month,. and u really got some cash to push this then go for it,
if u got the cash and the location then go for it,. other then that my advise dont bother with it,. its already been maxed out and theres alot of competition,..0 -
the writing is on the wall for these IMO0
