Hi little mankties i hope you don't mind me asking (and being cheeky) but I'm in the same position as you working husband and 2 kids and I'm hoping to enter nursing sept 2012, my question is did they count your hubby as a dependent and how much did you get in bursary for the year? i know things will properly change for next year however i would like to get some idea as I'm worrying about how we will cope finanically when i have to finish work
thanks nic xx0 -
Hi nic
I completed my forms on the basis that my husband was a dependant which the bursary people confirmed that I should do. I am awaiting my award for this year but according to the bursary calculator I don't expect it to be much to be honest. From what I understand, most households (other than those whose residual income is very low) do not qualify for the dependants allowance in any event. I'll let you know when I hear what my award is but I do believe that from 2012 things may be a little different in terms of the bursary. I'll try and dig out a link for you.0
