I want to open an account with A&L with an overdraft of £2000. I have read in Martin's advice that you must show you have been in credit for two days of the previous month.
Does this mean the previous calendar month e.g. open account on Dec 30 - show in credit between 29 Nov and 29 Dec
OR
e.g.open account Dec 30 - show in credit between 1 Nov and 30 Dec?
Grateful if anyone has had any experince with this.

Last calendar month I think but if you just opened an account £0 probably isn't counted as in credit (neither in credit nor overdrawn)
You don't need to show statements to open the account, you need to show them if you want them to match your current overdraft.

Hi
I recently opened an account with A&L and (according to the welcome pack) sent a statement within the last 3 months to od match, I just printed a calendar month and they matched it.
