ScotPower Fix Ending but ...
Hi,
I got notified that my Scottish Power fixed rate is ending end of July and they say I will be automatically put on standard but I can opt for another offer rate (lock in).
However, I noticed in the notes this :-
Does this mean I would pay a cancellation fee if I tried to switch now if that process takes weeks?
How can there be a cancellation fee on the standard monthly DD when I'm not on it yet and haven't stated I want it?
If someone could advise as soon as possible that would be great.
Cheers.

However, I noticed in the notes this :-
*If you notify us that you wish to do this before 1st August 2011 and we receive a request for your supply from another supplier within 15 working days, we will not move you to our standard monthly Direct Debit prices or charge the agreed cancellation fee. If you have an outstanding debt, we may object to your supply leaving us, but we will give you time to pay the debt and leave us without incurring the increased prices.
