hiya,
I've just left 1st direct.Got the £100 etc.I thought that was the end of the story, but no.I recieve a letter that tells me that apparently, I've still got an esaver account (which i've never, ever used, and of course they don't send me the account details etc in this letter..I think I've shredded all the paper details of the account)
They tell me that this account requires £1500 to be paid into it every month, otherwise I incur a £10 charge.
I just want to close the account, but now of course I can't contact them via email as my main internet account has been closed.Has anyone else had this issue and managed to get rid of 1st direct with the minimum of grief?
Ta for the any advice.

Phone them? They are very helpful. I've got an esaver, never pay any money in due to the rubbish interest rate, and i never get charged £10 a month as its still open with 6p or something :rotfl:0 -
hiya,
It actually turned out to be a misunderstanding...They told me that they couldn't close my account becuase I had direct debits open, so I deleted them..In the meantime a computer generated letter was sent to my house..stating that I still had an account open.
The letter could have been worded far more clearly, but after I phoned them it was all cleared up.All accounts gone.I went with them originally to get the money..I might go back in the future..they seem to have a far better ethic than most.
ta for the help.
