i left my house spotless, garden the same, 2 carpets were on their last legs,....but the buyer knew t hat anyway. As for my new house...i moved in on Tuesday and still haven't unpacked prob half our stuff as the place was disgusting, so much so, my usualy non senstive skin, non alergey type person i am, is sneezing like mad, runny nose and puffy red eyes. I am glad to say i am 90% scrubbed through now

Wow, thanks, so many helpful ideas!
I'm leaving all the light fittings with bulbs, they are all nice, but thinking of using something else for the new property.
Good point regarding manuals!0 -
Always have the decency to dispose of any dead bodies or anything before handing the keys over.:cool:0

Trust me Starlight, the carpets are grim! We'll get rid of them completely at some point, but sadly can't afford to do the floors straight away.0 -

In the past I've even filled in holes where I've taken picture hooks out, and repainted over any scuffs. I shant be doing that this time though!
Yeah I was thinking of doing that! I'm a first time seller, can't you tell!0 -

Thought we were the only ones that did this!!:rotfl:I've always left houses we've moved out of tidy - carpets hoovered - no rubbish left (either indoors or in the garage/shed) and kitchen & bathroom clean. I haven't gone mad with windows or cleaning carpets though. It's just a shame that each house I've moved into hasn't been the same (or anywhere near it!)0 -
All the posts are correct. My property is up for sale and i will defo be cleaning the oven, kitchen, bathroom ect. I just might leave a bottle of wine and a thankyou card. I would like to believe most people will tickle around with a tickle stick to leave the right impression. A clean home is a happy home x0
