I'd imagine that B&Q or any of the major DIY stores would sell something like it.I was looking where I could buy disabled parking sign which says : "Disabled person, please do not park." Please if anybody can help?
Thank you.
Although I think a lot of people tend to resent such signs unless they're covering an actual disabled bay as opposed to just a parking space on the public road.:cool:0 -
Are you wanting one outside your house or something like that.
Speak to your council see if they can help, they may paint one on the road for you.
Please remember though that if they do put one outside it is not for your sole use,
other people can park in it.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
I think you need permission to have one from the council if its on public areas, they is usually strict policy on this ie is there a need for a disabled sign? if yes they anyone with a blue badge can park0
-
and if the council do put a disabled bay outside your house........it isnt actually yours.
any person with a valid blue badge can legally park in it.0 -
I think the sign idea is better than asking the council for a space because it shows that YOU need to park there instead of "free space here for anybody with BB" which is what the council space can end up meaning to other people."Life is what you make of it, whoever got anywhere without some passion and ambition?0

I disagree - I'd probably take more notice of a council disabled bay than a sign that anyone who felt like it could put up.
A bit like my neighbours one that says "polite notice, please don't park here." Given the state of parking round our way, it makes me want to park there on principle (- they're not disabled, btw.)
Not having a go at the OP, just saying that I don't think bought signs that you put up yourself are that effective. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

If the council put a sign and bay outside your house and a non disabled person parks there you can have the police come along and ticket them. Or a Green Meanie.0
