INR time

I thought you could open an INR after 10 days. I purchased an item on 23rd June that has not yet even been dispatched, and delivery time is 3 - 5 days. As I need it by Friday I contacted the seller but no rtesponse. Ebay will not allow me to open a dispute until 11th July which is 18 days - I thought it was only 10?

Forget ebay claims, go straight to a paypal one. You need to read the dispute screens carefully though to make sure it doesn't divert you back to ebay.

  • eBay allow a sufficient time for delivery before allowing a claim for INR to be open (a surprisingly positive move by them).

Not all sellers will mark as dispatched on eBay, I would pull the sellers phone number and ring them before opening a dispute, a phone call usually results in a far more amiable resolution that a dispute.

you need to actually read threads. The OP has already tried to contact the seller. They will be able to open a Paypal claim and should as the seller hasnt responded.

  • I have read the thread, most people send a seller an email when they make contact, my suggestion is to give the seller a quick phone call as it is my experience that, as this is a more direct form of contact, it usually has a far more positive result which may get the OP their refund straight away rather than waiting for Paypal to review the case.
