P87 Tax Relief Questions

I have just accepted a new job that is based 100 miles from home and will require me to commute Monday to Friday.
I know that I cannot claim mileage for the journey home to work and back, but I was looking over a P87 form and wondered:
Can I claim P87 tax relief on the cost of accommodation while away from home? There is a section in there for relief for the cost of hotel accommodation which is required for work but not reimbursed by the employer.
Anyone have any experience with this? Would this be such a case?
