What would break if I change my google account on my android phone?

When I first got my android phone, I set it up with a throw-away gmail account I'd used originally for marched betting. The Google mailbox is continually full up with spam, but that was OK because I didn't use Google for much.

But now I want to set up a Google+ account so thought I should do it properly from an account in my name.

I've purchased a couple of applications on Google marketplace. Am I going to lose these by changing my Google account on the phone? They are backed up with app monster.

I believe the apps will continue to work, but to re-download them you will need to use the old Gmail account to access this.

Just keep your old Gmail credentials for later use.

Your purchases are linked to your google account so if you remove the old account from the phone you'll not be able to download any purchased items.

You CAN have multiple Gmail accounts on an android phone, but the first account entered is the main one the market uses...
I have my Gmail and Google Apps account on my android, and everything is under my Gmail account.

Oh cool - so I could just create a new google account for Google+ and keep the phone main one on my throwaway account
