Moving a boiler?

Hi all,
We have been trying to sell our house but with no luck and we have decided we are probably better off remortgaging and getting our house done up.
We still have the original bathroom and kitchen from the 70's and everything else is old and run down.
So we are looking at getting a conservatory build but the boiler has the flue coming out where it will be so we need to move it. We live in a terrace house so cannot move it to another wall and I'm not sure if moving it higher would be possible? as the top half of our house is cladded.
What other options do I have to move it? The only other places i can think of are the airing cupboard and the loft (not great access though if something goes wrong)
Also my boiler is 10+ years old so I'm thinking get a new one at the same time? we don't have a thermostat either atm so would like one put in.
Any advice from people who have had it done would be great, rough prices etc? Not sure if to try and find a local company to do it or go with a more well known one

I doubt if anyone would move your exisitng 10 year old boiler as it would be classed as a new install and therefore illegal, unless it is a high efficiency one.
As to the rest, it is impossible to answer on the information you have provided.0 -
To go in the loft you need a fitted ladder, light and boarding. Easy and safe access is required in case of an emergency.
To give you an idea on cost, I paid £2000 to get a new Worcester Greenstar 30CDi put up in the loft, moving from the bathroom; the pipes had to be extended about 12m. To replace in situ would have cost about £1500. This is in Manchester.0
