MY dirty trick on TalkTalk!!!

;) Signed up for Primus Saver last week and I think I may have pulled off the biggest TalkTalk coup ever, my TalkTalk was £27.99 UNLIMITED, but the new Primus deal WAS limited and was £14.99, I haggled on the phone with TalkTalk and they are now prepared to leave me on THE FULL UNLIMITED PACKAGE for £14.85 a month!!!! It pays to sway!!! Amazing what telling a phone company you are having a "Really hard time financially" achieves!

Anyone else has similar success? Also got my Scottish Power bill down by £160 by doing a meter reading and signing up for Direct Debit, once its paid, I'm swapping supplier, 19% price rise!!! No thank you!!!!

Congratulations on getting the deal with talktalk. However I wouldn't have stayed with Talktalk even if they offered me their service for free. Bloody awful company.
  • Point taken but I never mind an inferior product or service if it comes cheap! :D

Well done! I got half price on the 40GB (Essentials) package for 6 months on a 12 month contract but you've done better. Just shows what haggling can do! I'll see if I can do better next year...

Try the likes of 18185 if you want bad CS, or rather should say non-existant! TalkTalk may have rubbish CS in foreign call centres and not be able to speak English properly - but at least they exist!

I have no experiance with 18185. But I do with Talktalk and I can assure you they may exist, but I am not convinced that is an advantage over the 'non-existant' 18185 CS as talk talk CS (non UK based) lie through their teeth to get you off the phone and you therefore end up having to call day after day to try and get the simplest thing sorted. If you are lucky enough to get the UK based centre (I tihnk its by specifying technical support) you do tend to get a more honest response. This may not be what you want to hear but at least you know where you are which I appriciate much more than teh web of lies you get otherwise.
