Just switched to do my NEXT VIp slot and realised the AC adaptor for my laptop is making a beeping noise, light is not flashing and laptop is not recharging.
Is my adaptor dead?
If so do i have to buy a new Sony replacement or can I get one from PC World?
what a time to happen !!!
thanks

First eliminate a battery fault. Remove Battery and connect laptop to mains without battery fitted, see if it works OK.0

Thank you, you are a life saver (although I missed my Next slot after spending hours this afternoon trawling through the sales listing).
So my battery is dead?
if I had the choice, I can live without that though.
Thnaks again
edit: just put the battery back in and it it now working and charging, how strange !0 -
Update: My AC Adaptor has definitely had it now, the wire that connects to the pack started sparking the other night !
Been looking for a new one (£90 - £100) ouch ! for a new Sony one. Seeing as it's only lasted 14 months can it ake it up with Sony?
Alternatively can I get a cheaper universal make and if so could somebody please point me in the right direction.
Thanks0 -
I would try Sony first.
Maplin do some universal Laptop Power Supplys for around £50-ish, one of thsoe may be OK.
Alternatively there's always ebayIt's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0
