Right to Cancel Contract? Goods not yet received...

Can someone please advise me whether or not I have the right to cancel a contract I signed?
I had an appointment with a man from Cardsave (Credit/Debit card payment machines) in my home several weeks ago and I signed up for a 1 year contract.
I have not yet received the machine but apparently it is due any day.
As I was concerned about the delay I did a bit of research into them on the internet and have unearthed some unsavoury things about them so I would like to change my mind.
Do I have a legal right to do so?
In brief:
The appointment was in my home at my invitation (I not a door to door trader) several weeks ago.
I signed a one year contract
The machine has not been delivered yet
Can I cancel?
I really hope you can let me know where I stand legally.
I'm really worried

What does your contract say about cancellation?Thinking critically since 1996....0

Unless the contract gives you the right to cancel, there will be little that you can do apart from appealing to the good nature of the company concerned.
AS you've ordered a card reader it sounds like you are operating a business and if this is the case then the requirements for a 7 day cooling off period don't apply.0
