scs credit

simple, we went in seen a sofa we liked, are finance's were ok, so went along the route of the 4 years free credit.
today we got a huge bill which for some reason is correct so have to try and cover this meaning we can no longer afford the sofs, we only ordered them 4 days ago.

can we cancel them in the cooling off period with out any penaltys.

    To clarify...

so the huge bill is another item, not the bill for the sofa?

you want to know if you can back out of the sofa contract as your personal circumstances have suddenly changed?

No, of all the contracts to get out of the sofa companies seem to have the least compassion too - what is this cooling off period which you refer to? (I can only predict you mean the Distance Selling Regulations of 7 days, which won't apply as you didn't buy at a distance, but instore).

not on in person sales, unless the contract specifically states so, there is no legal obligation for a retailer to provide a get out clause on in person purchases.

I'm afraid past history would say no such terms are offered by SCS on their contracts...
