Transfer Money is missing?

My Halifax a/c isn't one I've ever sent large sums out of to know, but AFAIK it should have told your customer at the time of payment that the £15k would be slower. .. or putting it the other way round, even if it didn't specifically say that, there's confirmation of a Faster Payment when it leaves and is acknowledged by the receiving bank during the "handshake", so anything without that could be assumed to be via BACS.

The Faster Payments scheme's overall daily limit was raised from £10k to £100k last autumn, but still with discretion for individual banks to set their own limits (always the case since FPs began). As other have said, in practice even those previously offering the full £10k haven't raised their limits for retail customers since (with the possible exception of LTSB?), so it seems £15k paid in one lump unfortunately would never have left Halifax by that route with their even lower limit. All being well I'd guess it should be in your a/c by Wednesday?
