For Dub http://www.goireland.com/ are recommended by the tourist office and show loads of availability and I think most places are linked to this.
If you fancy a guided tour with a difference go on the Viking Splash Bus, instead of the boring hop on/hop offs, they make you wear viking hats and shout at people. Its an amphibious truck so it goes into the canal too.

and yeah Temple Bar if you like that sort of thing. Theres not much down Lansdowne Rd its very residential, some nice pubs in Ballsbridge but not really touristy.
