Get yourself a suitable domain name from somewhere like 1&1 then post back for further instructions if you can't work it out from there.

Once you get your domain name and set up a website, be careful about displaying your email address on it. If you arent careful the address will soon be harvested by spammers and you will be deluged with spam. I know from experience. Two possible solutions. Either cloak your email address (search for 'email cloaking' in Google) or better still use a contact form rather than displaying your email address for all to see. HTH

Appreciate the advice. Is there a way i can get that email address without setting up a website?

The supplier of the domain name will probably issue you with free web space and several email addresses to go with it. You dont have to use the webspace to make use of the email addresses.

You will be able to forward all email addressed to "xxx@companyname.co.uk". to "info@companyname.wanadoo.co.uk". You pick up your email as usual and it is transparent to the sender.

In your outgoing email account you would specify "xx@companyname.co.uk" as your email address.
