Desktop suddenly not recognising CD RW Drive?

Anyone know why this would happen?
My computer says i do not have one, but it is in my basestation, and is not a plug in/add on item.
I cannot remember the last time it was working (I do not burn CD's that often), but have tried to back up today, and it will not!

Can you read CD's from it? Are you using XP writing, or Nero/Roxio?Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

It will not read music CD's, but did read the Apple Ipod disk I put in earlier.0
