wee stains on grass

We have the same problem, two dogs equating to lots of deaf grass. My husband did make a mixture of Sand/compost/grass-seed and just sprinkled it over the dead areas, watering daily. Which helped in some areas, but I have heard about these dog rocks, that apparently neutralise the acid in dog pee, so that it doesn't kill the grass.
I will see if u can find some info, as short of following the dogs with a watering can, a more practical cure is required, for our grass.0 -
Just had a quick google on the dog rocks, unfortunately not the cheapest cure to lawn damage, cost about £7.50 ish for two months supply, they are mineral rocks that you put in the dog water, doesn't change the ph, but lowers tin levels etc.... Loads of info when I googled, most pet sites seem to have them. Just thought they sounded interesting, shame soo pricey, but then depends on how much it costs to repair lawn damage!0

I have 3 B****s too. Isn`t it wierd the grass at the border where the dead patch meets the lawn, the grass grows much stronger and thicker.
Dragon-inlaw tried the lava rocks and is convinced they work. I just re-turf the favorite area every spring and seed the other occasonal patches after raking up the dead thatch. If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you! :dance:0 -
Try Green-um, more or less the same as dog rocks but in a tablet form. I give my female dog 3 per day for 6 months then 3 months off. No of tablets depend on the weight of the dog. Goggle them and compare prices.
Can recommend themTreat other's how you like to be treated.
