Grey screen on laptop

Anyone know what i can do with the laptop as everytime i turn it on it just shows a grey screen?

Restart it, and keep hitting F8 until you get the option to start in SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING. You can troubleshoot from there if it works, and/or run Windows Restore.

I have restored it which took a while but it will not show anything only the grey screen:sad:0 -
is it grey or very faint
if faint then its the inverter
is it a Toshiba ??Ex forum ambassador

Or, if it's a pretty much totally grey screen, then the screen cable could well have gone, as has the one I've got in at the moment. OP, can you hook it up to an external monitor to check the output of the graphics ?? If good on the external, cable and/or screen has gone
